ESBS WEBINAR FEBRUARY 26TH 2026

26-02-2026

We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming ESBS webinar, “How to Become a Good Skull Base Surgeon” on Thursday 26 February 2026 from 19.00 to 20.00 hrs.

The ESBS will now host a webinar every two months, each dedicated to a specific theme and featuring internationally renowned faculty. This new initiative aims to provide continuous, high‑quality educational opportunities for all professionals in the field.

In this session, Professor Marcos S. Tatagiba, a highly respected expert with extensive training and decades of experience in skull base surgery, will share his insights into what defines a “good” skull base neurosurgeon and the pathway to excellence in this demanding specialty.

He will discuss the evolution of skull base surgery, once considered a “no man’s land,” and how technological breakthroughs of the 1970s and 1980s, such as microsurgery, intraoperative monitoring, stereotactic radiosurgery, and the rise of interdisciplinary collaboration, triggered the development of this highly specialized field.

Throughout the webinar, Prof. Tatagiba will demonstrate how refined patient selection and treatment planning must work in harmony with advanced surgical techniques to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

We look forward to welcoming you to this inspiring session!
